You are my everything

by isolatedempathy   Jul 3, 2006

So many words
So little time
So many songs
But none of them rhyme

I laid there waiting
My wings were broken
Dwelling on my history
That I wish was forgotten
Pain made me twitch
As blood dripped
From my black feathered wings

Your caring green eyes
Looked into my eyes of no colour
Cold grey and blank
I saw nothing of love
I only saw pain

Your warmth brought me life
You gentle arms wrapped around me
The soft touch from your lips
Puled me away back to sanity

I am still not healed
I still need your help
My wings are still bleeding
Although not as much
Your bandage is working
But it's not all better yet

Hold on to me tighter
Don't let me fall
My wings can not carry me anymore
But when I am with you
I have no need to fly

Because your are my wings now

You are my wings
You are my, everything
