I woke in fear
a day or two, maybe three,
I screamed in pain
memory not the same,
voices I hear,
visions real, intense
Your name I screamed,
forgive me,
a flood of tears,
daddy held my hand,
so very tight
fear in his face,
mommy stood beside him,
he could not see
he was not alone with his pain,
they pulled him away,
I fight my battle,
why must I suffer this pain,
the light fades,
I could hear daddy scream,

I could see mommy
her hand rested on his shoulders,
she so beautiful,
the battle is over,

mommy spoke to daddy
I can not hear,
pain lifted from his face

why am I in such pain

I thought we lost you,

briefly I did see
suffer alone you do not
the taint that runs thru will fade

I have seen what was bestowed
upon you through an eagles eye,
