Emma

by Meg   Jul 3, 2006

I look out of the window,
The sun is shining through,
The pavements full of snow,
And I'm looking round for you.

I call your name for miles,
But echoes are all I hear,
They turn around and smile,
But they can't see what I fear.

Two long years have passed,
Since you fell asleep and died,
It hurts me so much now,
I want to run and hide.

On this bench I quietly cry,
Wishing you were near,
You were too young to die,
You really should be here.

I just want to say,
No matter where you are,
I love you each and every day,
I hope you aren't that far.

So this is my poem,
Devoted all to you,
I miss you so much Emma,
I really do need you.
