Shattered in silence

Please listen to the sound
of my heart as it breaks,
listen to me screaming,
just look at my face.

Everything I say
seems to fall on deaf ears,
You hear but you ignore,
and leave me with my tears.

For me a vicious circle,
with no end in sight.
I choke on my tears,
as I loose this constant fight.

I watch as you live on in peace,
with friends all around.
I try to scream and shout it,
but I make no sound.

When will I realise,
what deep down inside I know?
I cannot stand to face the truth,
I haven't the courage to let you go

You've heard me all along,
and understood me fine.
but the love you once gave to me,
is no longer mine.

    I really liked this poem i found it to have alot of emotions throughout it. It was expressed nicely. The twist and the ending was great. although i feel in some places that the word choice was too commen but not that much. Other then that well done on this poem. Liked the titles too btw! ~mel
