The Lost Child

by kim   Jul 3, 2006

Shes lost and don't know where to turn,
her head dizzy with confusion,
her heart breaking with grief,
and her life falling with anger.

The desperate cries of a wasted child,
echo off the walls and into the darkness.
This life of such innocence has reversed it tune to a hideous night-mare.
Although it was no a fairy-tale before, she longs for familiar grounds.
What was once there has now faded away into a vague memory.

Shes losing ground and letting go,
she does want to do it any more,
she wants to give up on the puzzle of life--- her life........
She grabs a knife,
chooses a path
and runs away.
Shes running-- running into more confusion,
into hate,
into another world with so much pain.

She looks to the knife in her hand, she looks for comfort,
she needs help,
she has a habit you see,
a habit that tends to make her bleed.

As blood rolls down her arm off her finger tips,
a tear from her eye,
It doesn't hurt anymore,
the pain is numb,
she dizzy and looks at her arm,
she realizes its gone to far,
her knees buckle and falls to the floor.
