Broken Forever

My heart is broken because of what you have done.
I am left in the darkness, there is no more sun.
I refuse to cry, to shed stinging tears.
To you I will not give into fear.
Knowing that I will never be enough.
Insides all melted, outsides all rough.
You now don't come when you hear my cries.
That lump in my throat I've learned to despise.
The pieces of my heart cannot be put back together.
I hope you understand, this is me forever. -

    A little bit of a short poem, but it was very emotion-filled. I liked it.

    "Insides all melted, outsides all rough."

    ^That was my favourite line. I don't exactly know why, it just had an especially powerful image that went along with it in my mind.
