Hold On

by Emily Strickland   Feb 26, 2004

She Goes To School
Just Like Every Other Day
Not Having a Clue
To What Was Coming Her Way

As She Walks Out
And Crosses The Street
Something Hits Her Hard
She Is Knocked Off Her Feet

The Man Stops And Runs To Her
Everything Will Be Alright He Tries To Reassure
She Tries To Look Around
But Everything Is Just A Blur

She Hears The Sirens Coming
As Things Rush Through Her Head
Theres Nothing They Can Do For Her
Soon She Will Be Dead

Then Suddenly Everything Around Her
Starts To Go Black
Then Finally She Is Gone
And She Wont Be Coming Back

Three Days Later Everyone
Starts To Gather Around
Waiting For Her Casket
To Be Lowered Into The Ground

They All Came To Say Goodbye
And To Take One Last Look
The Priest Says A Few Prayers
Then Closes His Little Black Book

Everyone Then Starts To Leave
With Hearts Full Of Sorrow
Please Hold Onto Your Loved Ones
For They Might Not Be Here Tomorrow
