Another Day Goes By

by manders   Jul 4, 2006

I wish that I was strong enough
To hold my head up high
And shake my fist at the sun,
The clouds, the stars, the sky

But my courage drains too quickly,
And before I can speak my mind,
He is gone, I'm left alone,
Another day goes by

His name plays over in my head,
Over and over each day
I think of him when I'm in bed,
He keeps all other thoughts away

My mind is screaming
I love his brown eyes
My body unmoving
As I watch him walk by

But my courage drains too quickly
And before I can speak my mind
He is gone, I'm left alone
Another day goes by
