Old folk blues

by Joe Moore   Feb 26, 2004

When I was young
my parents seemed real old
when I was young
my parents seemed real old
but now I'm grown
and I realize that i was being cold

now i bought a car
my kids laughed and ran to hide
said i bought a car
my kids laughed and ran to hide
they said ain't now way in hell
in that hoopty are we going to ride

now my kids are grown
and they're attitudes have changed
my kids are grown
and they're attitudes have changed
now they have children
and those crazy little bastards are deranged

help me help me help me
my grand kids lost their mind
help me help me help me
my grand kids lost their mind
cause their parents gone crazy
and I would hate to have to kill my own kind
