Cease to be

by Tamsin   Jul 4, 2006

Soft feathery coldness
Enfolded in a blanket of calm
Blissful weightlessness
Stolen by silent
Creeping arms

Relieved from all awareness
Time ceases as a heartbeat stops
Peace and eternal darkness
Silence but for sighing winds that weep
For a single small life lost
