Wishing You Were Here

by Yvette Gibson   Jul 4, 2006

I lay in the grass and smile
knowing that you can see me.
and when i play with my stuffed animals i lay a few there in case you want to play to.

when i go under water i hold my breath twice as long for me and for you.
and when i come up i will make sure everyone notices me.
just like you do.

when i walk home from school i make sure to look at everything though your eyes.
knowing that you cant yourself ever since you died.

and when i go to bed at night i try not to cry knowing you never like it when i do.
because daddy i will always love you.
