The tears sting
And well inside
I try to hold it back
But emotions collide
A rebellion's burning
Between body and mind
The words are becoming
Harder to find
It's a raging fire
That can't be put out
It's a breathy whisper
When you really want to shout
It's envy and jealousy
A large dose of self-hate
It's a never-ending war
An ongoing debate
The tension and constant battle
Tears the soul apart
The problem is telling you
What's in my heart
I'm trying to solve the problem
But I haven't got a plan
A poet can write a thousand words
But it means nothing to a blind man
