Heart breaking

I couldn't believe it
but i tripped over you.
And before i could blink,
I was falling for you.

When i fell for you,
I fell really hard.
I was confused how, why
and when did this start.

Why couldn't i have scraped my knee
Instead of scraping my heart?
I guess I'm really stupid huh?
I guess I'm just not smart.

But then i found out
and wonder why it had to be
You had a new girlfriend,
but your new girlfriend wasn't me.

You found a new girl
You found a new love.
I tripped, I fell and
now i cant get back up.
