I Dream The Same

by Sarah Ann   Jul 5, 2006

Words sting down my broken heart
Pulling my soul more far apart
Speaking with passion it seems true
And hurts when I hear it from you
When honesty spills from your soul
And you wish I wasn't here at all

As a sickness growing strong each day
And piety pushes away
Your voice continues to move deep
And into flowing blood it seeps
That boils with calls of your name
As all you wish -I dream the same

I pray that I could disappear
Without you, mother, standing here
So that you will not have to pretend
And your great mistake will meet her end

[I really liked those two lines. It's kinda how I feel about my mother.]

I thought this was a great poem, Sarah. I don't see any rocky area's. The flow was good, your rhyming was good. It was a great poem overall. Keep it up! 5/5

Sarah-(this is Sierra-my other account got suspended). I don't know your mom but she's obviously doing something wrong. Does she even know you have this kind of talent? You should show her your poems, not necessarily this poem if you don't want...

You deserve a million times better!!!
