I've felt the shaking earth tremor and quake
Seen great cathedrals topple and fall
I've seen the great wonders that humans can make
But I couldn't sense You there at all

I've heard the mighty roars Your storms give forth
And I've seen mammoth waves crash into the shore
I've felt the hot South and braved the cold North
But even these wonders left me wanting more

I stood on the shore of a calm quiet lake
Other than wind I heard no sound
But a feeling was there I just couldn't shake
