Petal Paradise

by Avrii Monrielle   Jul 5, 2006

Come, my friend, let's
Take a trip to a special place
A place full of wondrous scents
Flashes of colors with daring laughs
To pierce the sky of all pain
Smile as we become smaller
Smaller than our shoes
Bathe in the light of loveliness
Be purified in the soft, cherished air
Glide on a young bird's feathered wings
Measured up with no words
Let us go to a peaceful world
With streams for drinks in nutshell caps
Pin some Queen Anne's Lace in our hair
Let us dance in ladybug tunics
Daunted with silkworm thread for gloves and shoes
To and fro, to and fro, the humans have no clue
Sing a sonnet as night comes
Sing unto the moon
Skip on pebbles from a lake
Until we're tired through
Fall asleep under a glowing, starry sky
Let the hours pass right by
The flowers drop blankets on us
Then we can sleep in our petal paradise.
