Our beautiful daughter,
We love you, it's true
But what we must tell you
Is so hard to do

One dark peaceful night
No one was awake
But in the black stillness
And intruder did quake

We protected you with love
And died for your care
What we are sorry for

We're sorry for your tears
We're sorry that you've been living
Alone for all these years

We wanted to be with you
You were just a baby then
But we love you so much
We'd die for you again

Be strong through all the pain
Be happy and truly live
Please know that our lives
Were all that we could give

Don't ever feel like you're to blame
For this ever-horrible crime
The reason we died was not your fault
It just simply was our time
