Your Gone

by t. h a l l i d a y *   Jul 6, 2006

You were happy and healthy here on the earth.
But the angels they took you away.
You are gone from here, and gone from us.
Till we meet again some day.

It was your birthday, the day you passed.
And we don't really know why.
Someone would do this to our family.
Why they want to make your family cry.

She was driving drunk, you walking down a road.
She hit you, and drove off like nothing had went down
Ambulance came a roaring, our phone it then rang.
Theres been an accident, Please come down town.

But you are gone, and since that horrible day.
Theres a hole, that no one can fill.
We all miss you so very much.
And you know we always will.

My aunt was hit and killed 1 month ago, by a drunk driver. We lost a part of our world that day! The lady who killed her just got out on bail. I don't know how someone could possibly get to be free after ending the life of another.

*in a moment anything can change..

^This was my favorite part. It really got me into the poem. I undestand how it feels to lose a loved one. This poem is sad, but really shows how it affected you. Good work..5/5
