Simple Life

by Sarah Ann   Jul 6, 2006

As forks transverse my smooth laid road
And vacant hearts stumble on gold
And as the moon embraces night
I ponder upon simple life

I think about why we are here
Why people laugh, and people tear
Why some are cruel, and others nice
I ponder upon simple life

As the sun brings down our summer heat
And beachy sands sink in our feet
When darkness always frightens light
I ponder upon simple life

Maybe as roads pass day by day
There's many meant to come my way
But I missed, and once again I might,
Yet still I dream of simple life

You REALLY are my favorite poet on this site, Sarah. Each poem is written perfectly and flawlessly with words I always WISH I could have had the brains to string together. You make every poem so lovely!!
