Suddenly All Alone

by Bradley Peter   Jul 6, 2006

Stern and bold and full of grace
knew the things he had to face
stood he's ground where he could
fought the evil and stood for good

Yet when the tables turned around
there were no saviours to be found
he stood there alone, facing danger
for friendship was something of a stranger

for all those battles, he fought for friends
no one stood forth to make amends
he was the long ranger, left to fight
with not a companion left in sight

he fought that battle and died that day
the victories he'd won seem to drift away
the victims he'd save watched in pain
as they witnessed their hero being slain
