Fallen Angel

by Fallen Angel   Jul 6, 2006

Light; dazzling shades of saffron fire,
Azure skies, adorned with feathery traces of pure white
Swimming, over scintillating seas,
Coruscating, alight with golden sparks,
Wind, filled with the urgency of love,
Flowing all around,
Rushing beneath my angel wings,
Careless and free

Fire ripping through shimmering feathers,
Smoking, choking the air,
Screams torn from smothered lungs,
Filled with blood and ash,
A rush of sorrow and regret,
Burnt by the intensity of perfection,
Scorned by the sun,
Soaring too close to eternity,
Cast to the ground in a lacrymose blaze,
Charcoal cheeks stained with tears,
Endlessly plummeting,
To the indifferent seas,

Darkness fills the heavens,
Storm clouds heave and wretch in ominous swirls,
The horizons roar their ingratitude,
Lightening scars the sky,
Winds rend and tear,
A single spark extinguised in a sea of lamentations,
Forgetten in the heaving swell of the ocean,
In an instant.

Wow. This was great. The beautiful imagery defintely made this poem for me... it made it very vivid and clear. It flowed well, and it was unique. Great Job.
