Gone

He was an addict
He never did things right
He used to steal
He didn't see the light

Then one day he saw
The women of his life
The that he adored
She would put up with the strife

They were married
On that June day
He was so happy
She was here to stay

He straightened out
He tried to make things right
He wanted his family to be happy
He tried with all his might

Over the years
Things were becoming great
He had three children
And a lifelong mate

Then the vacation came
You were going to have great fun
Away from the children with your friends
You were going to hang out in the sun

You all got on the four wheelers
Up the hill you all went
Then you hit the rock
Up in the air you were sent

Down the hill you and the four wheeler rolled
Down the hill your wife went running too
Talking about death that week before
It was as if you knew

Performing CPR to keep you alive
Your wife was trying
But little did we all know
That you were dying

At the hospital the doctors were working on you
Your wife and friends in the waiting room
The doctors tried and tried
But what awaited was their worst doom

The doctor came out
"We couldn't revive him," he said
He had gone to rest
Up in God's heaven bed

He was only 32 years old
That's too young to die
His family and friends missed him
They didn't want to say good-bye

Gone from the earth
His family and friends all love him
They miss him a lot
And will always remember him
