That First Summer Love

by Kiki   Jul 7, 2006

Sun rays beat down on two new lovers
The smell of ocean water and flowers fills the air
The sound of birds and laughter whispers in their ears
The sand that they stand on is hot as coals as they stand there wrapped in each others arms
The skys colors change from blue to black
With the moons reflection on the water his eyes seem to sparkle and show her a promise that nothing bad with ever happen to her as long as she is with him
In her eyes he sees a second chance on love yet knows that this is just summer love as he tries to block out his feelings
They sit there together afraid to live for the moment and just let the love they know is there have its way with them
The girl whispers in the boys ear that he is perfect
He tells her no one is perfect, yet in her eyes that is how she sees him
The boy then kisses her on the forehead and holds her tightly against his chest and she can hear his heat beating
And for a moment in time it is just these two young lovers wrapped up in each others arms falling more in love with each breath the other one takes
