The Story of Butterfly (Chapter 2)

Lovely Butterfly
Why do you allow this guy to love you? Of course you love him, but what makes you think you're good enough for any guy. For love. Especially from a guy such as him. What does he see in you? You've never figured it out. He's so amazing, and you're everything he's not. He's extraordinary and you're plain. You're simple. You're disgusting while he's amazing. All you know is that he is your everything. Without his love, your life would end itself.

Dear Butterfly,
What does he see in you? He really must not know you as well as you both think he does. For, if he did, like anyone else who knew the real you, would never speak to you again. Let alone, love you. And to imagine you being loved with such intensity shows how little he does know you. Deep down you know you're not good enough to deserve it. He's way to good for you. Everyone is- but especially him.

Dear Lovely Butterfly
He says he'd die for you. He tells you that even to give his life for you, it would not be nearly enough. But you don't deserve this sort of treatment. Not from this guy. How can he believe he loves you? That you're truly meant to be? He says he feels this way- but he can't. Not with you.

Butterfly
You long to hold him. Smile at him. Watch him sleep, and spend forever with him. You know that you can make him happy- if only given the proper chance. He tells you he wants the same. He wants forever. He tells you he'd die for you. You aren't worth living- let alone his life. You need to go. To leave. Even better- die. Die for him. Save him from dying for you. Which would be dying... for nothing.

He has so much going for him. Don't let him waste it one you. You have his long- although you shouldn't. The only other thin you have going for you is that you can only live so long.

*Authors note, my ex use to call me his butterfly and so this poem/story is about my relationship following my one with him. *
