True Sorrow

by ADyingProphet   Jul 8, 2006

Sitting under a tree with the sun fading into the east.
Days have slowly passed since her tradgey.
A wandering leaf lands on my shoulder,
I pick it up and a sudden tear falls onto it.
I caress the as I would've carressed her silken skin.
With each sigh I feel as if a drop of blood empties my heart.
With the autumn grass swaying with the rolling winds,
I think of all the secrets we used to pour into the sea.
A blanket of black is laid out before my eyes.
The moon brightly displays a melancholy scene that reveals my true sorrow.
Getting up, my body aches because it has lost the joy of getting old with you.
Walking under the stars, I know her spirit remains because she makes the stars twinkle with softness.
Ahead of me is the cabin filled with a thousand memories.
I open the door and a crowd of faint laughter rings out.
With the willowing wisps of her voice singing in the kitchen,
a heavy feeling devours me.
I live the nights under the cover of darkness because her light no longer exists.
After making my way to the kitchen,
I sit at the table where we shared our mornings together.
I look at a vase and inside that vase was the last flower she have ever smelled.
I begin to feel feeble and weak.
Quiet tears are flushing down my cheecks.
I put my head on the table with my arms wrapped.
A sudden whisper rings out as if it were calling my name.
I look up and smile fondly.
