My Dearest Friend

by Patrick   Jul 8, 2006

Why do you do this
Why do you try
Why do you tell your self
That you want to die
Why does this happen
Why should I care
I guess its because I know
No matter what
You've always been there
I have to help you
I know I must try
But my dearist friend
What if you die
Would it be my fault
If I backed out right now
But then how could I live
As you rest in the ground
Now put your head on your pillow
And let my tears sing you to sleep
Because without you my friend
I will always weep
I feel my eyes heavy
I feel my heart torn
Because if I help you my friend
It is I you will scorn
So my dearest friend
Please help me decide
How I should help you
So you wont continue dieing inside
