Memory lane

by ivan070   Jul 8, 2006

I took a drive
Down to memory lane;
Revisiting my roots;
and recalling my origins...
To the place where I once had a home..
Where mom and dad build their hopes on...

It is the land where the conception of my sweet child hood occurred;
Where I lived my age of innocence;

This land has welcomed me back;
With tears of joy and with open arms;
There is so much truth and innocence here;
This is where I experienced the joy of growing up...

I now remember that I had true happiness in the days where the world was less frantic ...
I see joy in living simple and believing in moderation;

I see old neighbors and long lost Friends ...
They greeted me with warmness;
We renewed our friendship...
Exchanging tales of our recent years...

I noted with joy and tears
That the sweet memories of my yester years had not forsaken me...
I feel the nostalgia;
and I feel the old me ...
