Each time, I die a little

by enfant du tordu chagrin   Jul 8, 2006

Each time I wake I feel the pain
This hurt's never far from my brain
Each time I sit all by myself
I'm losing just a bit more health

Each time I wait in vain and hope
I struggle more and more to cope
Each time I think I hurt inside
Reflecting on all that I must hide

Each time I laugh I want to scream
Feeling the ruins of my broken dream
Each time I cry I wound my soul
And wonder if I'll ever be whole

Each time I write I feel so lost
Wonder for what I pay this cost
Each time I smile I cringe within
Knowing this is a battle I can't win

I die a little more each day
As slowly my heart fades away
