No one Knew..

She's pretty; flawless
She's smart; gorgeous
she hangs with the cool clique
she's a popular school chick
and at school
she acts a fool
with her facade
of popularity and high grades
no one can see through her mask
the fake smile; will it last?
they don't know her pain inside
or how many times she must lie
they don't ask her how she is
they don't know about her cut up wrist
can they tell she's put on weight?
Do they know she was raped?
Inside it's been killing her
and she's against abortion
against murder

three months it's been now
too late too turn around
she's having this baby
it's driving her crazy
and she's alone
cause nobody knows
her friends don't call anymore

six months later
the baby is born
a beautiful little girl
she can't take it anymore
she falls to the floor
the baby's complexion
is like her rapers reflection
screaming and crying
she feels like dying
no parents; no friends
and a baby she'll hate forever
because it's her fathers..he raped her
and with that thought in her head
and a gun in her hand
her and her baby..are now dead..

Wow! im not usually a bit fan of shock story poems but theres something about this one that just caught me. youve absolutely captured the emotion and thoguht train in the situation. and youve written it in such a way, with an uninvolved narrator and an almost cold tone that makes it seem almost in slow motion like its underwater., i dont know how to explain it, but this is an amazing poem! please write lots more? soon?

rhymes could be a little more complex in the beginning... i LOVED this rhyme tho:

    "the baby's complexion
    is like her rapers reflection"
