Alone in the dark
She was so scared
She could've died
You wouldn't have cared

She'd call your name
Praying to be heard
While in the corner
Her baby's body stirred

As passed the day
And arose the sun
She got to realize
The pain had only just begun

Because no matter how she'd scream
No matter how she'd cry
You wouldn't have cared
You wouldn't have told her why
