My best friend

by lauren   Jul 9, 2006

You have a ravishing smile
One that can’t be bought
You have a form of elegance
One that can’t be taught

You have that special twinkle
In the corner of your eye
The joy you bring with your prescience
Makes it all worth while.

The laughter you embrace
The happiness you endure
The comfort you dish out
Is why I’m so assured

I’m assured that we’ll stay together
No matter what battles we go through
Even if the world collapsed
They’d find me next to you.

You are not a leader,
You don’t tend to follow
You stick right by everyone’s side
Through laughter, joy or sorrow.

No matter what we go through
You’ll always be my best friend
Because no matter what we’ve been through
We come back together in the end!
