Shadows in the night

She hears a noise,
their creeping up behind her,
she suddenly gets this,
overwhelming sence of paranoia,

she is frozen with fear,
she cant move or scream,
she hears them coming nearer,
she prays its just a bad dream,

its dark but she can still see,
she makes out thier shadows on the wall,
their big and strong,
but thats not all,

she see\'s a shadow of a knife,
this may be the night,
that she loses her life,
NO, she wont give up the fight,

she hears howling in the distance,
she turns and runs for the door,
but she is too late, its locked,
she covers her eyes and falls to the floor,

crying uncontrollably,
she looks up,
but the tears have blurred her vision,
this girl has had enough,

she stands on her feet,
runs to grab the knife,
their stronger than the little girl,
but she hold on with all her might,

she is lifted up,
and pushed around,
still fighting back,
she is thrown to the ground,

they have had their fun,
they turn and leave,
the young girls sighs,
she is so releaved.
