It is hard to write about something that hurts, but sometimes they are the best to write so you have it out. A few of my uncles are alcholics one wasnt so lucky but the others are getting helped.

In the third stanza I think you need to fix the computer must have messed it up when you submitted it. I have a lot of alcholics in my family...and I know how bad that sucks... even though you said this was hard for you to write I still liked it...keep on writing you will only get even better and it makes you feel a little better.

Awwww... That made me want to cry. I can tell you care a lot about you uncle and want to help him. You did a good job on the poem. I don't have any alcoholics in my family so I don't know how you feel, but I hope everything gets better for you! =]

Great poem, I'm sorry to hear about your uncle and i hope he has the strength and will to quit. I don't know what its like having someone you care about struggle with an addiction, but i know it must be hard. Stay strong for him.

As you said it is not your best, but I think that there is a lot of emotion and heart put into it!!! It really does have great potential, I think the flow on this one was just a little ify and I think it also could have went on longer.....

Wow.. that poem made me cry. It sounds like you care alot for him, and it really shows that you love him in this poem. It's filled with so much emotion and very heartfelt. Great job on this. The last stanza is what really got me and made me cry... I just love the way that you ended it. Great job on this. 5/5 I hope you unlce will be able to quit drinking and make his life better :)

My uncle was an alcoholic too... I wasn't around when that happened b/c he turned his life around b4 i was born... but I'm sure if your uncle wants to bad enough to straighten out his life, he will... it just may take some time... good luck to him I know it will be hard.
