It's always today

by Janine Alford   Jul 9, 2006

I'm so happy your still my friend.
We would spend time over the weekend.
Then trouble happened i had to decend.
I didn't want this friendship to end.
A year passed without any touch.
Had to hold on to our tightest clutch.
I just knew we would retouch.
Yesterday passed,
It's always today.
The sky became grey.
It felt as if I didn't have a heart.
I just didn't want us to be apart.
Friends mean a lot in life.
You have to hold on to them tight.
Years passed and calenders changed.
It's our hearts that beacme exchanged.
Even though we had a slight delay.
I knew that if I would pray.
There was yesterday, here's today.
