One last time

My daddy went to heaven
just 4 months ago

i didn't get to say goodbye
i didn't even try
so now...i just remember, the last time we spent the day together
and I'm sitting here wishing, that day could've lasted forever

i went to his wake
and i almost fainter, for gods sake
i could hardly bare it
but...i held my head up high and didn't throw a fit

i didn't want to believe
that my daddy was in that box over there, held tight with 6 big golden locks

i knew he went away
on that special day
if only i had
one more chance to say:
i love you dad!!!
