I'm still amidst the lucky
for not all my friends have betrayed me
they are by my side: committed, understanding.

for not all my family has disowned me
they are uniting the unlikely: supportive, loving.

I'm still amidst the lucky
for not all my hope has withered:
I have not yet reached the edge.
I'm still amidst the lucky
for not all my strength has drained
and i won't let my demons win.

I am not yet broken, I am still admist the lucky ones.
