Why are we still doing this?
Can we really escape our pain?
Am I the one you truly miss?
Or do we have nothing left to gain?

We talk like we're just fine
Only reading between the lines
Dancing around the question
That is always on our minds

We say we'll be good friends
Or at least we'll be okay
But we barely go the distance
To even smile and say hey

You told my friend you loved me
But to others, you miss 'her'
I can't stand this uncertainty
Of if we're completely over

We're not going anywhere with this
Just pushing each other apart
We're running around in circles
All because you broke my heart
