Where My Life Had Passed

by Sarah Ann   Jul 10, 2006

At a time my heart was crashing and my soul was on the line
Moments where things were difficult but ironically so fine
Seconds where my life had passed in picture perfect scenes
But then again they replayed in horrific nightmare dreams

There were hours that I sat alone, not knowing what to do
Nights where my heart was weeping, and my tears traced back to you
Flashes where my life had passed through jiffies of the day
And times continued to race with me and tease me on my way

Which ever way I was turning, it wasn't the right side
Split seconds conflicted actions, and cross centered my strides
My efforts were all useless as time was ticking on my soul
I thought that I have made it, but I've only just paid the toll
