Its been almost a week
since you told me it wont be
now I'm a changed person
trying to be me

but still the thoughts continue
of where i have gone wrong
but now i know i love you
its been there all along
hesitating

the first time that i saw you
the way you had your hair
the way i hid my eyes from you
trying not to stare

you hit me like a lightning bolt,
which started off a spark,
that turned into a flame,
which chased away the dark

the lightning has now disappeared
now that were apart
but my flames still burning bright
it started from your spark

now the flame is bigger
and now i feel the burn
for my shield you've disappeared
and for you i yearn

i don't feel like me
now Ive lost you my shield
the burning crept into my heart
my weakness is revealed
