I sat and listened to the words he spoke.
It was wonderful to finally be reassured.
For this was the first time that I could feel the care.
It happened as quickly as the smile lit his face.
His heart was so set and his words were so..
So strongly backed up by his wonderful faith.
I didn't understand it at first,
What all of everything meant to anyone.
He spoke of the past,
Which presented the future so clearly,
Which meant that everything was going to be okay.
It was the sense of peace that caught my attention.
It was what made me understand.
I saw in his face the meaning of life,
But truly no one had to tell me.
Deep down I knew.
I knew that life was all for something.
It was for the something great at the end,
And this wonderful adventure was nothing more than going up a vast mountain,
It was something that we all had to get through...
Before we could see the wonderful view at the top.
Now that is reassurance.
