Paint me a picture

Paint me a picture,
with colors gay,
to express the words,
you cannot say.

You could paint an ocean,
the place I yearn to be.
You could paint a water bird,
out dancing by the sea.

You could paint the highlands,
one place I've never been,
to show me all around the world,
and back around again.

You could paint a mountain,
with it's daunting snowcapped peaks,
I would climb up to the top,
even if it took me weeks.

Or you could paint a rainbow,
something simple, yet with flare...
You can paint me anything,
just show me that you care.
