From what I can see,
Where am I in life?
The shadow in front of me,
Cut it open with this knife,
Look to the past for some direction,
Defy what's causing this infection,
Go to the sink where I wash my sins,
It's now an overflowing fountain,
Draining away my hope.
I am like a puzzle with a missing piece,
You can put me together again,
But I won't be whole,
Those pieces are my soul.
Do I deserve to continue,
To lose my mind,
To see if I can find,
The part of me that's missing.
Tell me what to do,
To become whole,
To become more,
Just to be someone better.
Drain my sins away,
Murder the shadow,
Choose another way,
To move along and find myself,
Be someone better.
