The Unwanted

by Dominique   Jul 13, 2006

Abandoned, disbanded, neglected, rejected
Unreasonable, unwarranted...unwanted
Tired, immobile, a cast off sense of style
Ache and pain resounding through the rain
Of tears, slipping off her face
Of time, reminding her, she has no place
She crawls down into insanity
That silly little girl, never understanding
Why she wasn't wanted
Learning nothing but her own insecurity
Prepared to face all hardships
Knowing that multi-faceted travesties
Of the life she had never known
Didn't care of anything she knew about
When all the time she wondered
Why her world lived in darkening doubt
Over the opinion of a silly little girl
Didn't matter, never would
Because she was abandoned, disbanded, unwarranted, unwanted
Didn't matter, not now, then or ever; never could
