Distraught Teen

by hope   Jul 13, 2006

She stares out her window,
the rain falling from the sky,
Smacking onto the roof,
Leaving no goodbyes,

Falling down the gutter,
And onto the sweet green grass,
Flooding the yard,
A huge water mass

The roof and lawn full of dirt,
Symbolizing her sinful ways,
All her pains letting go,
Drowning away the days,

The clouds keep rolling in,
As the dirt forever remains,
Forgiveness is renewed,
Something she often gains,

She stares away from the clouded window,
Her thoughts are in a clouded haze,
Her life is changing so fast,
Like A dirfting maze,

She creeps over to wards her bed,
Where lye-st a teddy bear,
She holds him dear and whispers soft,
Come for a ride my dear.

Hugging him tight,
Across the room she moves,
To-wards the window sill,
Her housecoat she removes.

Her body reaches out,
To the roof she dangles,
Leaning over the edge,
Her rope then strangles.

As the rain still falls
So does her life,
Wasting away any memories
She drew upon the knife.

Tears stream down her face
Ones you cannot see
Because the rain it hides it
In a minute she will no longer be.

The rain still falls
And the morning has come
Her loved ones then awaken
and their bodies have gone numb

the sight of their daughter
hanging in their face
brings tears to their eyes
and a look of disgrace

upon their days of mourning
no one spoke a word
of how their daughters life
had come to be absurd

flowers grow in the very place
in the garden where she hung
in memory of her short life
and how she was too young.
