My Love Is Growing Old

by Sarah Ann   Jul 15, 2006

My body screams for a release
As I stand out in the cold
My soul is crying, letting go
My love is growing old

I wait a day or two for you
To hear your voice that makes my day
But it seems like now you'll never call
And I have so much to say

At first I was holding it in
Risking my heart and feeling bruised
A second chance I quickly spared
Thinking there wasn't much to lose

And slowly then my mind had changed
Transitions touched my life
I've figured out your mysteries
And your constant needs for spite

Something tells me it is not fair
My friends think I should leave
And I wait, boy I keep waiting
For hints...who to believe

Honestly I hate this feeling
And this road in which I've plunged
I love you, but its foolishness
You treat me wrong yet have me sprung

My body screams for its release
As I feel alone in bitter cold
My soul is crying, I'm letting go
For my love for you grown old
