Incased Hope

by Chris   Jul 15, 2006

I've wrapped my fears in a blanket of insecurity
silenced these sounds that are haunting my mind
I've found a reason to disengage with relationships
solely based on the simple purpose of time

You hold the decision to crush my heart
I'd rather see light than a dark day.
I gave you a chance a fresh new start
You decided to turn and walk away.

These dreams I live with are nightmares.
I pray for all my hope.
That out there someone might care.
Because where there's fire there's always smoke.

LOVED that stanza, especially the first line. Chris, you are such an amasingly talented writter, great work. You're on my favorites list:)

I thought that was a very beautiful, and emotional poem. I liked all the imagery used, and how you worded everything. It was short, sweet and right to the point. Also this poem flowed amazingly well.
    Great job 5/5.
