Poetry-- The Ultimate Cure

So many memories
Such a long time
Years with many feelings
Expressing them through rhymes

Whether out of boredom
Love, sadness, or heartache
I thank God I found poetry...
For my own sake

To guide me away
From harming myself anymore
Because of the countless times
My heart was tore

But with poetry
I can reach out and let it be known
The things I am feeling
And learn that I am not alone
