Summer senses

by Kitty Katia   Jul 17, 2006

Viewing dawn is a start on my journey.
Watching foals thrive is a pleasure to my heart.
Inhaling the aroma of pretty pink peach blossoms is a smell that will never part from me.
Savouring fresh creamy croissants is a friend of my tastebuds.
Listening to songbirds twittering in twisted old oak trees is a sample of nature.
Enjoying the warm rushing air is the first thing that meets me when I open my window.
Feeling the sun beat down is a beginning to skin cancer.
Hearing humpback whales singing is the music of relaxation.
Tasting icy cool vanilla ice-cream is a desire of everyone.
Smelling the kebabs sizzling on a barbeque is an essential to every beach party.
Seeing children play and screaming with laughter is the best summer entertainment.
Gliding in the endless salty blue pool is the real taste summer for me.
But the best would be have to be,
Sitting on the smooth cool sand of a deserted beach
And watch the last extraordinary performance of the day with a glass of wine and a person you love.
