Substance abuse

by Krystal   Jul 17, 2006

Just take one sip of me,
All your problems will lety you be,
Just once get high,
And watch your conflicts fly right by,
Try not to think of your daughter,
The one who's convinced you forgot her,
Let's just take a couple sips,
This substance is calling your lips,
Come on just get high,
I promise you you're gonna fly,
Gone will be your fears,
Along with your lonely tears,
Drugs and beer get rid of grief,
But also make your life so brief.

I know only to well that drugs and alcohol only cause more grief... That's the point I was trying to get across. I also know the effect substance abuse has on people seeing as I wrote this poem for someone who is very close to me and happens to be a substance abuser.

Drugs and beer doesn't get rid of grief it only causes more for themself and for family and friends and who ever it may effect.

this is a great poem as i know many people can relate to it, as my family does it shows the temptation an addict must feel. or a new victim must feel.
