I Pity You, Dear Child

by Macabre   Jul 17, 2006

You have wings, but cannot fly.
You have eyes but cannot see.
You have dreams but can't make them actions.
You have potential, but can't find it in yourself.
I pity you.

Have faith dear child, tell me it not be true,
you have no brains, is that what they say?
Well what do you think? Of course you don't know.
Why did I ask? You're terrified of your own thoughts!

You have wings, but cannot fly.
You have eyes but cannot see.
You have dreams but can't make them actions.
You have potential, but can't find it in yourself.
I pity you.

Have faith dear child, tell me it not be true,
do you not love yourself? Do you hate what you do?
Then why so glum child, can't you see your reflection?
Look in the mirror and tell me what you see.
How can you manage to love, when you don't love you?

You have wings, but cannot fly.
You have eyes but cannot see.
You have dreams but can't make them actions.
You have potential, but can't find it in yourself.
I pity you.

Have faith dear child, tell me it not be true,
you doubt yourself, don't believe you can survive?
Why is that child, this isn't a race.
You need not try harder, if you've maxed your potential,
I'm happy that you tried, so don't look badly upon your mind.

You have wings, but fall instead of flying,
You have eyes, but can't see your own reflection,
You have dreams, but are afraid to turn them into actions,
You have no love child, because you can't love yourself before others.
I pity you.
